Ocean Conservation Action Project

The Oceans Alive Conservation Trust - Ocean Conservation Action Project is focused on advocacy for the Ocean and Earth. With increasing threats of global warming, pollution and the exploitation of marine species, we encourage the public to participate and hold hands to safeguard and protect the our planet.

 

World leaders are expected to  make important decisions about the future of our planet. To create a healthy ocean with abundant wildlife and to stabilize the climate, it’s critical that 30% of our planet’s lands, waters, and ocean be protected.

The Oceans Alive Conservation Team is committed to raising awareness and it is imperative that we as a collective take action and hold ourselves accountable for what we do and how we live. What we choose to do and use does have an impact. Wherever you are in the World, know that you can make a difference. With your help, and by working with the youth and organizational leaders worldwide, together we will make a difference.

Healthy oceans and marine ecosystem services provide critical life support functions upon which human health and well-being depend. Multiple benefits are derived from marine and coastal ecosystems at local, regional and global scales, ranging from pollution control, storm protection, shoreline stabilization and habitats for species, to climate mitigation and food provisioning. Governments are required to scale-up to conserve and sustainably use our ocean and marine ecosystems, which are under severe pressure from human activities.
